Privacy Policy

Brandy the Hairstylist LLC ("I," "me," or "my") is a one-stylist, appointment-only salon in Phoenix, Arizona. This policy explains what information I collect through brandythehairstylist.com, my booking and consultation forms, and my salon services, how I use it, and the choices you have. I never sell your personal information.

What I collect

Contact details: your name, phone number, email, and an emergency contact.
Hair and scalp details: your hair history, goals, and concerns you share, such as dryness, breakage, scalp irritation, or thinning.
Health and safety details: allergies, sensitivities, past reactions, pregnancy, medications, or skin and scalp conditions you share on my consent and release form. I only use these to keep your service safe.
Photos: pictures you upload of your current hair or inspiration, and photos I take during your appointment.
Payment details: deposits and payments are processed by Square and Jotform's payment partners (including card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Cash App, and bank transfer). If you keep a card on file, Square stores it. I never see or store your full card number.
Messages: emails, texts, and DMs you send me.
Website data: like most websites, mine uses cookies and similar tools from Wix, Google, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to keep the site working, measure visits, and understand which ads or posts brought you here. This can include your device type, browser, pages viewed, and general location.

How I use it

To review your consultation, recommend services, and book and confirm appointments
To keep you safe during chemical and color services
To take deposits, payments, and any fees described in my Salon Policies
To send appointment confirmations, reminders, and follow-up care tips
To send openings, specials, and referral offers, but only if you opt in
To keep my business records and meet legal and tax requirements

My consultation form uses Jotform's AI tools to help organize your answers into service suggestions. I review every recommendation myself before anything is booked.

Photos of your hair

I only post photos or videos of you or your hair on my website or social media if you have given me permission. You can change your mind at any time by emailing me, and I will stop using them going forward and remove posts I control.

Text messages

If you give me your mobile number, I may text you about your appointments. I will only send promotional texts if you check the separate box agreeing to them. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. I never sell or share your mobile number or text opt-in with anyone for their own marketing.

Who I share it with

I only share your information with the companies that help me run my business, and only so they can do that job:

Wix (my website)
Jotform (my consultation, waitlist, and quiz forms)
Square (booking, payments, and cards on file)
My email and text messaging providers
Google and Meta (website analytics and advertising)

I may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety of you, me, or others.

How long I keep it

I keep client records while you are an active client and for up to 3 years after your last visit, so I have your color history if you come back. Payment and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. You can ask me to delete your information sooner.

Your choices

See, correct, or delete your information: email me and I will respond within 30 days. I may need to keep some records, like payment history, when the law requires it.
Stop marketing emails: click unsubscribe in any email.
Stop texts: reply STOP.
Cookies: use the cookie banner on my site or your browser settings. My site does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.

Security

I use trusted, secure platforms for my forms, booking, and payments, and I limit access to your information to myself. No system is perfectly secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect your information.

Children

My website is not meant for children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect their information online. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian to book and to sign my consent and release form.

Changes to this policy

If I change this policy, I will post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is significant, I will also let current clients know by email.
